Looking forward to a generation of urban, upper-middle class professionals supporting the under-skilled, under-educated children of the ex-middle class through expanded tax benefits to prop up the value of their erstwhile worthless properties in no-longer-fashionable marginal suburbs: a future that could be avoided by using all the resources currently being wasted on pro-suburban policies like highway infrastructure, tax deductions and insurance subsidies, for investments in education and urban infrastructure. Hell, maybe we could spend some of that on scientific and engineering research too…
